The Floreat
Zigatango performed a number of times at the Floreat with artist Damien Thornber and his group The Orphans. The first show we did was a huge success with a set tapas menu and of course great live music. The whole room was buzzing. The second gig was also a great success although we didn't have a set menu, and anyone could just come and pay $10 for entry and have a drink.
The last gig we did there was a struggle and only a small turn out. The Floreat also put another band on in the next room at the same time for free and the music was so loud it spilled over into our venue making it difficult for audience to hear what we were playing. We may try and put on another sit down meal type of gig some time in the future as this worked very well, however at this stage, we feel that there are many more appropriate venues in Perth for this type of music and performance.
